Couple questions:
Is Mayor Katz gay, or was he just going for the Music_Tard vote.
Now that two weeks have passed since the gas bags broke ‘errr ground, is it safe to say that your Mayor Two Face has his speed cameras in place?

I didn’t see Asper there.

Quick poll for everyone here. You have $10 million to invest in a new building for your retail business. You are a new brand to the city, and are slightly higher-end than The Bay or Target. Where would you build?

A) Asper’s Polo Park site
B) Ikea’s gravitational orbit ?

The Bombers made a HUGE mistake in agreeing to tie the fate of a new stadium with the development of their old site.

And with Ikea’s site probably snagging the high-end retailers that Asper wanted, the whole stadium deal sits in limbo.

I bet if Sandy was behind the Polo Park development, Sam would have thrown up a few roadblocks to the Ikea site. As it is, it will be another 20 years before Winnipeg is hungry for the next “new & unique” experience, then Asper can move ahead with his Polo Park dream.

Maybe they should send the shovels to the parent company of IKEA in the Netherlands, where all of the money we spend on furniture and housewares will be going.
