Stubble Still Burning as Mild Weather Stays Around

The foggy haze continues to linger over parts of Winnipeg and Manitoba as farmers burn off crop residue from their fields before winter. Earlier this week, the province extended the deadline for farmers to obtain permits to perform controlled burns.
These photos below were shot Friday west of Sturgeon Road near Inkster Boulevard.
The Lung Association of Manitoba says if the itchy eyes and smoke are bothering you, contact your local MLA.

I guess it’s a good thing that there are at least some restrictions imposed on the burning of crop residue . . .
