New Year’s 2010 Activities at The Forks
Posted by Tyler Sutherland

Winnipeg’s biggest New Year’s party will be at The Forks, and you know it will all end with fireworks.
All day next Thursday, the Arctic Glacier Winter Park will be open, and because we now have plenty of snow, will make for some excellent tobogganing and snowboarding conditions for the kids.
Kids’ crafts will be offered from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and marshmallow roasting form 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Live entertainment on the Scotiabank main stage will begin at 5:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. and features acts from Manitoba’s vibrant musical community.
Horse drawn wagon rides will be available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The main attraction of the evening — fireworks — kickoff at 10 p.m.
If taking the bus will be your safe mode of transportation that night, additional buses will be available on York Avenue (west bound) following the fireworks. Regular transit fares apply. There’s also Operation Red Nose.
