Blizzard Cancellations and Closures Bulletin

Winnipeg police have closed Saskatchewan Avenue between Hamilton Avenue and Buchanan Boulevard due to poor visibility and large snow drifts. The advisory was issued at about 5:15 p.m.
RCMP say the eastbound passing lanes of Highway 101 are snow packed between McPhillips Street and Main Street. Motorists should keep to the right hand lane.
The province has rescheduled pre-budget consultations set to begin tonight at the Portugese Culture Centre at 659 Young Street. Consultations will take place on Wednesday, February 3 at 7 p.m.
Pembina Trails School Division said Linden Meadows School has cancelled Kindergarten Parent Information Evening for tonight.

As of 11pm Monday January 25, there was still a flashing marquee sign, as well as two posted signs outside both ends of Portage la Prairie stating that the road was closed, and that a barrier was in place, although it had been moved, and traffic was on the number 1.
