Scientists will share their preliminary findings from the largest Arctic climate change study ever conducted in Canada at a news conference in Winnipeg this afternoon.

Professor David Barber of the University of Manitoba and lead investigator of the Circumpolar Flaw Lead System study, will share the team’s findings. The study began in July 2007 and involved over 300 scientists from around the world.

Students from across Manitoba participating in the Arctic Climate Change Youth Forum will gather at FortWhyte Alive to hear the results.

The researchers are in Winnipeg to attend the New Music Festival Gala on Saturday at the Centennial Concert Hall to hear the world premiere of “Arctic Symphony.”
