Google Extends Street View to More Manitoba Communities
Google on Tuesday flipped the switched for additional Manitoba communities to show up on its Street View application.
The company said it debuted 130 more cities and towns, as well as a 360-degree view of Whistler Mountain and Stanley Park in B.C. Just in time for the Olympics, Whistler Village and the Vancouver Athletes’ Village were also added.
Winnipeg first appeared on December 1, and now more Manitoba locations have the honour. Brandon, Dauphin, Duck Mountain Provincial Park, Gimli and Riding Mountain National Park are now all live.
It didn’t take long to find a few discrepancies, though. Part of Brandon’s 34th Street is absent from the live view, along with part of Willowdale Crescent. Both streets are well within city limits and contain a vast number of houses.
Manitoba’s famous Halfway Tree even made it. (via @jordansawatzky)

Thanks for the credit. I’ve been able to pick out a number of local residents that I know, that were caught by the camera.

Google has the worst privacy record, I’ve ever seen.
Google Services, keeps user information inputted forever. Google Gmail scans Emails as well.
Google Chrome and Google Services, have no respect for privacy.
This just makes Google Big Brother.
Microsoft and Yahoo keep info for limited time.
