Indigo Books and Music Inc. opened up their newest location Saturday at 1590 Kenaston Blvd. (not pictured above). The massive 18,000 square-foot bookstore is just the latest retailer to make the Kenaston area its home, following others such as Marble Slab Creamery, Petland and Joey’s restaurant, which all have opened within the last year.

This is the company’s fifth Winnipeg store — there are two Chapters and two Coles stores also owned by Indigo.

UPDATE: I had the opportunity on Saturday afternoon to check out this new store and spent about an hour inside. It seems bigger than the St. Vital Chapters location, but an employee told me they’re about the same size. I guess it seems larger because of the high ceiling and lots of open space.

There’s also an adjoining Starbucks inside and many grand opening sales on numerous book titles. If you happen to be in the area, drop in and have a look.
