Billie Jo Ross, Mookie Wilson New Calgary Radio Hosts

Two Winnipeg radio personalities will make up a new morning show in Calgary beginning in March.

Billie Jo Ross of 102.3 Clear FM and Mookie Wilson of QX 104 will be the new early-morning voices of Lite 96.

Billie Jo is currently on maternity leave and previously worked mornings in Saskatoon before co-hosting her local show with Jay Oliver.

Mookie is no stranger to Calgary, having worked as the drive host on Country 105. His career has also taken him to Hamilton and Toronto.

The show hits the airwaves Tuesday, March 1.

    OH MY GOD NO!!!! I just read this evening that Billy Jo is leaving. Say it ain’t so please!!! Jay you two belong together. I am so sad. I can not imagine how you feel but you two made the BEST EVER TEAM in the morning. Mornings will NOT be the same without your laughter and craziness. I found you were the only two who could make me laugh so much in the mornings. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, especially getting me through the past year after getting laid off. I WILL TRULY MISS YOU BILLY JO, AND MISS THE TEAM EVEN MORE SO!!!

    Jay and Billy Jo were {no…no….I want to say ARE} such a good team. I will miss this combination big time! Ho humm…..Jay—–you have such a big job ahead of you!!!! I pity the person who will “try” to fill Billy Jo’s shoes as I really think that that is an impossible task. I was counting down the days to when Billy Jo was back where she “belongs”!!! Oh well….life goes on but man…it’s going to be tough to listen to the morning show without feeling such an emptiness! ALL THE BEST BILLY JO!

    OMG Noooooo, I just found out and I could cry. I am going to miss the team of Jay and Billie-Jo so much. They were the start to my mornings that I had to have. Billie shares my daughter’s name and their personalities are alike. Her giggle was so genuine and you just had to laugh along. The best twosome on radio EVER.     I started to listen to 102.3 when you & Jay first stared .It is not the same at all. I think I will start to listen to 92 in the morning now. It is not the same with out you here . You & Jay could make me LAUGH all the time.Who ever she is that is on with Jay in the morning, well she tries but she doesn’t even come close to you at all. Please come back home where you belong !!     I stopped listening to 102 when Billie Jo went on maternity leave – it just wasn’t the same without her. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Billie Jo and Jay together! They play off each other and make me laugh so much! I just found out that she’s moving to Calgary and we’re “stuck” with the new girl. She does try, but she’s not that funny. Plus I really miss Billie Jo’s laugh!! I wish you the best, but really hope you come back…
