Christmas Cheer Board Needs Your Help!

If you have a few hours to spare this weekend, head down to the Christmas Cheer Board. They desperately need volunteer drivers to help deliver food hampers.
The Cheer Board needs 2,000 drivers, and only has about 500 so far this year.
With only a couple days until Christmas, there are 19,000 hampers to be delivered to needy families.
The slow down in volunteer help is being blamed on the recent cold snap Winnipeg has experienced in the last week. With gas prices staying quite low at around 72.9 cents per litre, you can’t complain that you can’t afford gas for your vehicle.
How to help
To volunteer to deliver Christmas Cheer Board hampers:
Drive to the cheer board and introduce yourself. The volunteers inside the warehouse will load you up and give you addresses to drop off hampers.
Where: Christmas Cheer Board, 1385 Ellice Ave., corner of Empress Street.
When: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Friday, 9-5 weekends
The hampers have to be delivered by Christmas Eve.
See you out there!
