Blue Bombers Say Goodbye as Milt Stegall Set to Retire

Milt Stegall has informed the Winnipeg Blue Bombers that he will be retiring and will not enter the 2009 season.
Stegall’s retirement ends an amazing 14-year career in the city.
A formal announcement from the wide receiver isn’t expected to be made until he attends a banquet in Winnipeg later this month. Reports say the 39-year-old Cincinnati native informed the club of his decision in late December, then re-iterated it again last month.
The news of Stegall’s departure comes on the heels of coach Mike Kelly’s decision to release defensive lineman Tom Canada on Friday.
