Team Jennifer Jones Ends Curling Season on a High

Winnipeg’s Jennifer Jones and team ended the curling season with another big win.
The Canadian champ won the Players’ Championship for the third time in four years on Saturday, beating Shannon Kleibrink of Calgary 9-7 in the final in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
The team’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed, as Jones, along with Cathy Overton-Clapham, Jill Officer and Dawn Askin, picked up a $25,000 prize, plus a $50,000 bonus for winning the season title. Not too shabby.
ChrisD.ca had the only photog at the airport, due to the fact that this tournament wasn’t as big a win for the team as others. But that’s okay, because they’re still our local champs and deserve the spotlight. Congrats!
