Friday marked the worst possible way to kick off a long weekend ever. Parts of the province saw up to 30 cm of snow and the strong winds didn’t help either. We even broke a record for the coldest temperature on May 15. Brutal!

Global TV weather specialist Andrea Slobodian braved the conditions to head up to Grand Beach for a live hit during the 6 p.m. newscast. She even made a snowman — in May! No word on whether the snowman got to keep the Global toque or not.
