The 3rd Annual Ice Crystal Gala in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba takes place tonight.
Over 600 people are expected to attend, including children, families and supporters of the Foundation. The family-orientated black tie event begins at 5:30 p.m. and is decorated to look like a winter wonderland as guests arrive.

Sunday turned out to be a better day than expected. The dark clouds that were hovering over Winnipeg throughout the morning moved out and made way for bright sunny skies, as the 23 annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic rolled on.

Sunday is the 23rd annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Assiniboine Park. Preparations were well underway this week, as seen below on Friday afternoon.
The weather should be decent, with no significant chance of rainfall in the forecast. The Picnic begins at 9 a.m. with delicious pancakes being served in the food tent. Yummy!
