The Flood Evacuation Reception Centre located at the Century Arena will be closing on Sunday, May 3. The centre assisted 724 people requiring emergency support services as a result of having to leave their homes due to flooding since April 15.

Water Levels Still High Near Highway 75

On Friday night I took a drive out to St. Adolphe and Ste. Agathe. The water levels surrounding Highway 75 are still high, but have receded over the last week or so. The highway to Morris isn’t expected to fully reopen until mid-May, or later.

Flood Evacuation Centre Will Scale Back Hours Next Week

Effective Monday, April 27, the Flood Evacuee Reception Centre in Winnipeg, located at the Century Arena (1377 Clarence Avenue), will be open from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily, until further notice.  The Reception Centre will remain open from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26.
