Global Winnipeg programming was unavailable to Shaw Cable customers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for several hours on Monday.

During the 6 p.m. “Evening News,” a feed from Edmonton was supposed to play, but “ET Canada” aired in its place shortly thereafter instead.

Longtime Global TV Winnipeg news anchor Eva Kovacs is the latest employee to call it quits at the Canwest-owned television station. This would make departure #4 in recent months, as employees (all women) look to secure careers elsewhere.
Eva reportedly resigned on Wednesday, and it wasn’t immediately known if a replacement is lined up to sit [...]

Global TV Manitoba correspondent Crystal Goomansingh wanted to give viewers a look behind the lens on some of her stories, and she did that by vlogging (video blogging).

After spending about a year at CTV in Northern Ontario, Craig Larkins made his return to Global TV on Monday evening’s newscast.
Larkins was a reporter previously, but will now be handling weekday weather duties. The weather chair has been vacant since Andrea Slobodian left in September.
