This Year’s Most Appropriate Costume

The biggest news story of 2009 didn’t leave the mind of Global TV’s Lorraine Nickel when she dawned this popular H1N1 costume on Halloween.

Someone should have dressed up as the vaccine and gone along with her. Unfortunately, we hear those costumes are on back order from the federal government.

UNICEF Setting Up Donation Locations in City

With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, UNICEF Canada will be out on Friday, October 30 to collect donations. The organization does not collect door-to-door anymore, and therefore needs to get out into the community for support.

2nd Annual Celebrity Pumpkin Carving Contest (VIDEO)

Local celebrities competed at Kildonan Place on Tuesday in the 2nd Annual Celebrity Pumpkin Carving Contest in support of UNICEF Canada.

Zombies Walk Through Winnipeg’s Downtown (VIDEO)

A few hundred zombies decided it would be a good idea to walk aimlessly in a large group Sunday night and jump on vehicles in downtown Winnipeg. Apparently it was all part of the Zombie Walk, which also took place in other cities across the world.
