Several businesses inside the Portage la Prairie Mall were broken into at about 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
RCMP say thieves made off with merchandise of an undisclosed value.
No damage estimate is available.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The family of a missing woman located her body Saturday in Brandon.
Linda Caroline Smith was found in a ditch on 14th Street North between Park Boulevard and McGregor Avenue.

The two men who were taken into custody last week for questioning in the Amber McFarland murder investigation have been released.
A 39-year-old male and a 40-year-old male were arrested last week in Portage la Prairie, but no charges were filed against them, the RCMP said today.
