CJOB, Power 97 and Groove FM will soon have a new home in the old CTV Winnipeg studios in Polo Park.
Staff of the radio stations were told of the move Monday morning, which has been in the works for several years.

With all the hoopla surrounding the lyrics of “O Canada” in the last few days, the folks at Power 97 put together their own version. Without leaving out any select group of people, the new version works to not offend anyone and includes everybody in our historic anthem.

Winnipeg Blue Bomber Obby Khan was the victim of a good old fashioned prank call Thursday, as Power 97 tried to convince him his car had been found totalled. Among other things, the radio pranksters told Obby a quantity of marijuana was found in the vehicle.

Last Friday was Hal Anderson’s last show with Wheeler on Power 97. On Monday morning, Hal debuted on CJOB and Wheeler’s new show kicked off with Philly and Rena.
We were there as Hal signed off for the final time on the FM dial.

Just as ChrisD.ca predicted in August, Rena Jae will be joining Wheeler and Philly to make up the new Power 97 morning show called “Wheeler in the Morning.”
As previously reported, Rena Jae has history with both Dave Wheeler and Phil Aubrey, having worked at the same station in Lloydminster, Alberta.
The new show debuts Labour Day Monday.
