After being let go by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last week, Tom Canada is saying his goodbyes. The defensive lineman took to his blog on the Free Press website to post some final thoughts.

Below is an excerpt from the full blog entry.

Tom Canada - Winnipeg Blue BombersI want you all to know how much the past five years have meant to my life. It will be hard to not have Winnipeg as a constant in my life anymore. I had such a great time being a part of the community. I think about my trips to West Hawk, my place in Wolseley, the roar of the crowd in Bomberland, Oh Canada… Earl’s… Peaches, everything….

But be assured that “The Peg” will always be with me. I will alway hold a big place in my heart for the city I loved so much….
