The 40th annual Festival du Voyageur officially kicks off tonight. The 10-day winter festival will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Provencher Blvd. with several events slated for the evening.
Organizers are probably thankful that the weather is cooperating for the opening weekend. After the warm spell this week, quite a few snow sculptures started to melt, but so far it looks like the carved figures will be okay.
