Pembina Highway Pothole

City of Winnipeg workers are seen here laying plywood on top of a massive pothole Wednesday afternoon. The hole, which has been described as the size of a bathtub, ate up the front end of a flatbed delivery truck on northbound Pembina Hwy at the westbound Perimeter Hwy exit at about 1 p.m.

Spring is still a few weeks away, but the potholes are already out in full force and causing havoc with motorists. The city says if you spot one you can report it by calling 311 or e-mailing 311@winnipeg.ca.

Here are some tips on how to avoid potholes, courtesy of Manitoba Public Insurance.
