The 12th annual Peanut Butter Jam will take place Wednesday, March 11 at the University of Manitoba.
Students, staff and the general public are all invited to take a few minutes out of their day to help make peanut butter and jam sandwiches for the needy in our city. All the food and related supplies will be provided.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Fort Garry campus on the lower level of University Centre.
At noon, President David Barnard will be joined by Geoff Currier, candidate for city council, to help make sandwiches for the kids.
To date, more than 20,000 sandwiches have been distributed through Winnipeg Harvest to soup kitchens and boys’ and girls’ clubs in Winnipeg.
