Independent Professional Project Presentations 2009

March 10, 2009 7:00 AM | News

Red River College - Independent Professional Project PresentationsThe Red River College Creative Communications students will be holding their annual Independent Professional Project Presentations this week.

They are being held at the Park Theatre from March 11-13 (Wednesday to Friday) 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. daily, except on Friday when presentations wrap up at 12:30 p.m.

What are the IPPP’s?

The IPPP’s are when Creative Communications students propose and produce a major project of their own selection. In the final semester of the program they make a formal presentation on the outcome of their work. Projects can be promotional, creative, documentary, research-based and more! Presentations are free and open to the public. Some of the presentations this year include a 10-song rock album by singer/songwriter, Vanessa Kunderman, a promotional video on Camp Aurora by Braden Alexander, a book for people with low vision by Brynne Johnasson, and much more.

The Red River College program trains students to enter the media industry in public relations, advertising, journalism, and broadcasting.
