McConnell Family Fire

The family who lost everything in a trailer park fire March 10 are having a fundraiser held on their behalf on Thursday.

Melissa and Jeff McConnell, and their children Kiefer McConnell, six months, and Maddison Moniz, four, have been living in a hotel ever since the disastrous day that took their home.

The fundraiser is taking place at Dylan O’Connor’s Irish Pub, 2069 Portage Avenue beginning at 6:00 p.m. Local comedian Big Daddy Taz has donated his time to perform for the night.

There will be great food, prizes, entertainment and most importantly, you can meet the McConnell’s and show your support. Tickets are $10, or $15 with the buffet and are available at Dylan’s on Portage, Mister Transmission (Portage Avenue and Pembina Highway locations) or by e-mailing briannablaire@yahoo.ca.
