Winnipeg GoldeyesWinnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced Tuesday the signing of infielders Josh Asanovich and Adam Frost. There are now 24 players on the pre-season roster, split evenly between pitchers and position players.

The addition of these players now brings the Goldeyes roster to an even two dozen.

Asanovich, 26, arrives following five seasons in the Tampa Bay system. A solid glove man who can play either middle infield position, he spent the last two years with Montgomery of the Southern (AA) League, helping the Biscuits to a league title in 2007.

Frost, 22, arrives following a season as Detroit property. He signed with the Tigers following an outstanding career at NCAA Div. III St. Norbert College, where he hit .395 in 107 games for the Green Knights with a 1.040 OPS.

Training camp opens May 1 at Canwest Park.
