Winnipeggers waited in line on Wednesday to drop off old electronics to be recycled as part of an Earth Day event. The E-Waste Drop Off depot only ran 4 hours and dozens of vehicles were turned away.
On Thursday, a second drop off location was designated at École Julie-Riel, an elementary school in St. Vital.
Hundreds of electronics, mainly computers and monitors, filled the school’s hallway.

Those wishing to drop off any used electronics can go to Urbanmine, 72 Rothwell Road. There will be a fee based on the weight of your item. Information on the province’s E-Waste recycling options can be found at GreenManitoba.ca.
