Winnipeg GoldeyesThe Winnipeg Goldeyes will open training camp on Friday with 27 players.

Goldeyes manager Rick Forney has announced that catchers Kevin Reimer and Ryan Richardson and pitcher Josh Sawatzky have been invited to training camp. The trio received the invite following Tuesday’s closed tryout at Canwest Park, attended by 15 players, most of them from Manitoba with others coming from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and North Dakota.

Workouts will begin Friday and are open to the public. They will run most days from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
