NewFlyer.comBeginning Friday, May 1, cyclists can enjoy the convenience of being able to place their bikes on to the front of most Route 60 Winnipeg Transit buses.

Although the racks are specific to one route, you may see them on additional buses throughout the city. The bike racks are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no additional cost to the rider.

The Bike and Bus Program runs until October 31, 2009, and complements Winnipeg Transit’s Bike Locker pilot project. The lockers are available at two locations; St. Vital Shopping Centre (in the Transit bay) and at Osborne Junction (on the centre island).
