On April 7 ChrisD.ca told you about a survey being conducted by the Urban Exchange and the United Way to get your thoughts and ideas on poverty in Winnipeg. To date the survey has been taken by over 2,100 people since its launch three weeks ago. There is only a couple more days left to make your opinion count, as the final day to take the survey is May 8.
Another 35 people filled out the 5 minute survey at a live event on Monday, where they received free coffee for their participation. Organizers have also been giving presentations at several non-profits throughout Winnipeg.
To make things even more interesting, Eric Friesen, director of engagement at the United Way, is opening up his own wallet and offering Cupcakery cupcakes to the blog, forum post or Twitter tweet that generates the most traffic to their website.
