Winnipeg GoldeyesWinnipeg Goldeyes fans are in for a treat this season as the league will soon broadcast all home games live on the Internet.

Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier announced today an agreement with California-based Interactive Broadcast Network Sports that will see the Northern League club offer video of all its home games via ibnsports.com.

Kansas City and Gary are two other Northern League teams already using the technology from IBN Sports

“Wherever our fans are tuning in over the Internet, this partnership with IBN is just one more way for us to connect with them,” said Collier. “We’ve seen what has taken place in Kansas City and Gary and it is something we are very excited to be a part of.”

“This is a landmark day for IBN Sports,” said IBN Baseball executive producer Ed Hart. “With the addition of Winnipeg to our repertoire of teams, we are now in international baseball. This is an exciting time and we are thrilled to be partnering with the Goldeyes, a truly remarkable organization.”

Winnipeg fans can begin watching live games in time for the 2009 home opener on Friday, May 22 against the defending champs from Kansas City. Exhibition games on Monday, May 11 (7 p.m.) and Tuesday, May 12 (Noon) against St. Paul will be used to work out any kinks.
