Winnipeg Transit Drivers Going Casual for The Cure

National Denim Day Poster 2009Tuesday, May 12 is National Denim Day and Winnipeg Transit is hopping on-board. Hundreds of transit bus operators will be looking a bit more casual in support of the Cure Foundation for Breast Cancer.

1,400 transit employees have been encouraged to wear jeans and to donate $5.00 (or more) to the campaign.

The first Tuesday following Mother’s Day has been elected National Denim Day for the last 10 years, as put on by the Cure Foundation. Cure is a national foundation that works in partnership with women, men, health professionals and other foundations across Canada to help improve breast cancer survival.
