Less than 4% of people living in this province are aware that today is Manitoba Day, at least according to a survey conducted by Prairie Research.
Manitoba Day is May 12 annually and celebrates our 139th year as a province. Peak of the Market’s Larry McIntosh wants to encourage everyone to take some time to think about what a great province we live in.
From 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. today, Larry and other Peak co-workers will be installing a free Manitoba flag on the first 400 cars to pull into the Peak of the Market parking lot at 1200 King Edward Street at Dublin. Larry and his team will also be giving out free tickets to today’s Winnipeg Goldeyes pre-season game against St. Paul, which begins at 12 p.m. at Canwest Park.
There are several events planned across the province today. For a complete list, visit the Association of Manitoba Museums’ website.
