Lane Line PaintingThe City of Winnipeg’s annual lane line painting program is now underway.

Having commenced on Tuesday, crews will work throughout the summer to line over 1,000 kilometres of roadway, 600 signalized intersections, 150 pedestrian corridors and 400 crosswalks.

A total of 81,000 liters of paint will be used, mixed with roughly 24,000 kilograms of glass beads, which improves the reflectivity of the painted lines.

That’s a whole lot of paint!

Motorists are urged to use caution while around painting machinery and personnal.
