Doors Open Winnipeg is here for another year. The annual event, which guides people on tours of some of Winnipeg’s most interesting buildings, runs Saturday and Sunday at various locations throughout the city.
Besides the full list of buildings you can tour for free, Doors Open will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike with a special free performance of the abridged version of Danny Schur’s award-winning musical, Strike! in the Exchange District beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday, a life-sized replica of Streetcar “356”, the last remaining Winnipeg streetcar that was built in 1909, will be on display at City Hall from 10 a.m .to 4 p.m.
Doors Open Winnipeg is put on by Heritage Winnipeg and will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. For more info, visit DoorsOpenWinnipeg.ca.
