A Manitoba-bred came flying home to win her debut at Assiniboia Downs on Friday night. Adventcia, winner of the 2008 Buffalo Stakes against Manitoba-bred 2-year-olds, her debut win sets the tone for what could be a wonderful year. Trainer Carl Anderson is no doubt very pleased.
Spying Eyes finished a respectable fourth in the Friday night feature won by Perservata. Winner of the Gold Strike Mile and J. W. Sifton Stakes in 2008, trainer Clayton Gray was pleased with the 4-year-old’s first start of the year and looks for him to improve in his next start.
