D’Arcy’s ARC (animal rescue centre) founder D’Arcy Johnston is cycling from Vancouver to Winnipeg to raise $25,000 for his animals. Johnston will travel approximately 2,400 kms between June 1 and 30.
To help wish him a safe send off, he’s inviting the public to an open house at the shelter, located at 730 Century Street, beginning today at 10 a.m. Make a pledge at the shelter and enter the draw for a chance to win a Mountain Bike.
Cake and coffee will be served until 9 p.m.
