It’s that time of year again — the annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic returns to Assiniboine Park on Sunday for the 23rd year.
The Children’s Hospistal Foundation’s family event raises awareness of child health and child health related issues, as well as provides a fun environment to educate kids on health and safety.
This year’s Picnic features activities, games and crafts in over 45 tents and entertainment on the main stage.
Besides the many great ways to donate to the Foundation, you can bring the kids over to visit the Dr. Goodbear Store while you’re there.
Fantastic live performances on the main stage will definitely not disappoint. Featuring both local and international talent, attendees can look forward to Prodigy, Just Kiddin’, and the Orlan Ukrainian Dancers, plus more.
The Picnic will also feature the famous B*A*S*H (Bears’ Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) tent, where injured stuffed animals will get the care they deserve.
Admission is free to the event, which runs Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine.
Since 1987, over 680,000 children have attended the Picnic, which has raised an impressive $2,000,000 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
