Two round table discussions are being held this month on proposed improvements to water and sewer utility services in the city.
City officials will be on hand to explain the proposal to create a new arms-length management model aimed at providing better protection for taxpayers and greater public accountability.
The City has been exploring ways to provide better cost certainty for large-scale projects on the horizon for the past year, including a major upgrade to the sewage collection and treatment system in order to comply with new provincial environmental regulations.
Participants will be able to interact and engage in dialogue after being briefed on the proposal.
The round table discussions will take place at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Avenue (at Pembina Highway) on:
Tuesday, June 9
7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Assembly Room, Lower Level
Thursday, June 11
7:00- 9:00 p.m.
Banquet Hall, Main Level
Winnipeggers are also invited to review and respond to a discussion paper on the proposal or participate in an online survey at www.winnipeg.ca.
