There were plenty of festivals in Winnipeg on Saturday, including in Transcona, on Ellice Avenue, the Children’s Festival at The Forks, and the one I went to — Academy Road Live!
Shop owners brought their business curbside for a day of outdoor fun, including great food, music and entertainment. Many of the area restaurants were also giving out free samples of some of their best dishes, which is always a plus if you can get something for nothing. Their gimmick worked, because I now have a list of places that require my attention in the form of a full course meal at a later date.
