Former Olympic Athlete to Speak at U of M

University of ManitobaA former track and field athlete will be speaking tomorrow night at the University of Manitoba.

William Tanui is a former Kenyan National Team Athlete who won the 800-metre event at the 1992 Summer Games in Barcelona.

The Kenyan track phenom is part of a team of sport and recreation advocates who are currently visiting Winnipeg to explore Sport Without Borders initiatives benefiting young athletes in both Kenya and Canada.

On Wednesday, June 10 starting at 8 p.m. at the Frank Kennedy Building, Room 133 (Fort Garry campus), Tanui will present his career as an athlete and his path towards his great success followed by a question and answer period.
