H1N1 Flu VirusManitoba Health and Healthy Living reported an additional 22 new confirmed cases of the H1N1 flu virus on Thursday. This raises the total of those infected in the province to 78. Health officials also noted that in the past 24 hours, at least one patient has been admitted to an intensive-care unit.

On Thursday the World Health Organization went to a pandemic level six, but that has not changed the province’s approach to the outbreak.

As always, take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from being contaminated, such as performing frequent hand washing and using hand sanitary products.
