Umpire Ejects Crowd During Baseball Game

June 15, 2009 6:20 AM | Sports

UmpireYou’ve seen umpires throw out players and coaches from a baseball game, but how about the entire crowd? That’s what happened in West Burlington, Iowa last week.

Fans at a high school game were apparently unruly, yelling and arguing when the umpire had enough and demanded that everybody leave.

The game resumed after about a 40-minute delay.

The umpire called police as a precaution. Police came, but made no arrests. One officer said he saw no unruliness himself, and neither did the school’s principal, who was present during the entire game.

Silly umpire.
