The Fish Winnipeg Media Challenge took place at sunrise Tuesday morning, as several media-types traded in their microphones for fishing rods. The event raises money to support youth at risk angling programs in Winnipeg.
Although it was barely 6 a.m. when the teams hit the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, there were some pretty impressive catches early on.
This year’s big winner was the Winnipeg Free Press — pulling in a total of 604cm.
