If New York subway and transit riders don’t give up their seats to the elderly or disabled, they could face up to 10 days in jail. That’s the new no-B.S. law now in effect throughout New York City.
Jail time is only one of the consequences seat hogs could get, there are also fines of $25 to $50.
Signs went up this week in thousands of Subway cars and buses to make passengers aware of the new rules.
