Goldeyes Sign Familiar Pitcher

Winnipeg GoldeyesJust days after announcing catcher Jeff DeSmidt had been placed on the Disabled List, the team said today he has since been activated.

Meanwhile, the Fish have signed starting pitcher Mark Michael. He returns to Winnipeg after getting his start with El Paso of the American Association, the club he was traded to in February.

With both DeSmidt and Michael in action, the team is now at the league-maximum with 22 players on the roster, 10 of whom are pitchers.
