Manitoba’s population grew by 14,007 in the last 12 months, and it’s all thanks to immigrants.
Since 1971, the province’s population hasn’t increased so much in a 12-month period than it did recently.
Officials contribute the growth to skilled and eager workers coming to Manitoba for work as part of the Provincial Nominee Program.
Data released this week by Statistics Canada reported 1,217,200 people called Manitoba home as of April 1.
