Ellusive Spell - Painted Thoroughbred HorseThe rare horse we told you about two weeks ago will make his second start at Assiniboia Downs on Saturday night. Ellusive Spell will be in the fourth race and hopes to finish better than fifth, as he did in his first lifetime start earlier this month.

“He looks like he might want to run long, so I’m looking forward to running him a mile,” said trainer Emile Corbel. However, the race is only 3/4 miles, 6 furlongs.

Ellusive Spell is 10 to 1 on the morning line and will also be part of the track’s Canada Day festivities next week.

Post time is 7 p.m.
