The Winnipeg Goldeyes now have a vacancy on their roster after being maxed out just a day earlier. The team has released left-handed pitcher Tim Layden, just one day after activating right-handed pitcher Chris Homer, manager Rick Forney announced on Saturday.
Layden was signed on June 10 and made four appearances for Winnipeg, posting a 0-0 record with an 11.57 earned run average.
Homer had been on the Inactive List for the last month tending to personal matters back home in Pennsylvania.
