Speed Limit Increase Effective July 1 on Two MB Highways

Highway 75 Manitoba

Effective tomorrow, July 1, the speed limit will increase on portions of two Manitoba highways from 100 km/h to 110 km/h.

The speed limit on the Trans-Canada Highway from the Saskatchewan border to Virden will increase, as well as on Highway 75 from the Emerson border crossing to St. Jean Baptiste.

Motorists had hoped the speed would increase on the popular stretch of highway between Winnipeg and Brandon, but Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation deemed that it would not be safe. Gravel shoulders and the condition of the highway contributed to that decision.
