World Vision’s One Life Experience will kick off at The Forks on Thursday. The campaign returns to our city in support of the World Vision Winnipeg Campaign for Children. The eight week campaign is to raise awareness among local residents about issues affecting children in developing countries and to encourage them to sponsor 1,200 children in need through World Vision by September 7.
Visitors will experience the impact of poverty on children in Africa, including HIV and AIDS, by experiencing the captivating audio, authentic sets and powerful photography.
Since its Canadian tour launched two years ago, more than 50,000 people have visited World Vision’s One Life Experience. More than 2,300 Manitobans visited the exhibit in just five days when it debuted in August 2007.
Located outdoors in front of the Scotiabank Stage, the exhibit is free and open to the public from July 9 – 19. All are welcome, however parental discretion is advised.
Exhibit hours are:
Sunday – Tuesday 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday – Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
